The Evolution of JoJo Siwa: A Look at Her New Persona

As JoJo Siwa turns 21, she is officially shedding her previous persona with a teaser for her latest project. The singer, dancer, and TikTok sensation is stepping into a new realm with her song “Karma,” featuring mature lyrics like “I’m a bad girl / I did some bad things.”

Not only is Siwa dropping explicit lyrics, but she is also undergoing a complete image transformation. The former “Dance Moms” alum has been showcasing her new music with clips and photos of herself in revealing outfits. One particular look seems to take inspiration from pop princess Britney Spears, reminiscent of the crystal-embellished catsuit from Spears’s 2004 music video for “Toxic.”

Putting her own spin on the design, Siwa’s skin-toned, sheer, sparkly leotard features cutouts and strategic sparkles. In additional previews for the “Karma” video, the “Dancing With the Stars” alum sports lace-up shorts and a cropped jacket with statement shoulders. While her outfit may be changing, Siwa seems to be keeping her signature sparkly beauty aesthetic intact, with jewels in her hair and metallic makeup.

In a recent TikTok video, Siwa stunned fans by sporting a biker-inspired outfit complete with a gold chain necklace and oversized aviator sunglasses. Fans were quick to comment, with one comparing her look to Joe Dirt and another mistaking her for Dog the Bounty Hunter.

As JoJo Siwa embarks on this new journey, it is clear that she is being intentional with her choices. At 21, she is setting the stage for her future in the entertainment industry. With each new photo, video, and teaser, Siwa is showing the world that she is ready to step into a new chapter of her career.
