Prince Albert and Princess Charlene, along with their children Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, had a delightful day of family fun at the Circus Parade in Monaco. The royals were seen at the Place du Palais, where they enjoyed the floats, performers, live band, and even elephants. The parade served as the opening act for the 46th Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival. This year’s festival is particularly significant as it commemorates the late Prince Rainier III, Albert’s father, who was a founding member of the festival back in 1974.
Princess Charlene, known for her elegant style, turned heads in a tailored camel coat and suede knee-high boots. The 45-year-old princess looked effortlessly chic as she wrapped up warm for the festivities. Prince Albert, on the other hand, donned a navy overcoat and added a bright yellow scarf for a pop of color. It’s worth mentioning that his nine-year-old son, Prince Jacques, sported a near-identical jacket, showing his admiration for his father’s fashion choices. Princess Gabriella, the young royal, looked absolutely adorable in a leopard print coat and boots, perfectly capturing the spirit of the event.
During the parade, Jacques and Gabriella were given red clown noses to wear, fully embracing the playful atmosphere of the festival. The siblings were later spotted holding hands as they walked through The Palace Square, showcasing their adorable bond. The family outing also included other members of the royal family, such as Beatrice Borromeo and her eldest son, Stefano Ercole Carlo Casiraghi, as well as Princess Albert’s sister, Princess Stephanie of Monaco. It seems that the love for the circus runs deep in the royal bloodline, as Princess Stephanie shared last year her deep connection to the circus, inherited from her late father, Prince Rainer.
The Circus Parade marked one of the first public appearances of 2024 for Princess Charlene and Prince Albert. The couple had previously shared a New Year’s address on the Royal Family’s Instagram account to round off 2023. Princess Charlene looked glamorous in a dark red Ralph Lauren dress with long sleeves and an asymmetric collar. Her stylish blonde crop was neatly styled to one side, complementing her soft and flattering makeup. Prince Albert, as always, looked dapper in a classic navy suit.
In his heartfelt speech, Prince Albert acknowledged the challenges faced in 2023 while remaining optimistic about the future. He emphasized the importance of unity and gratitude for their institution and social and economic achievements. Reflecting on the year, Prince Albert highlighted the centenary celebrations of his father’s birth, Prince Rainier III. The speech concluded with Princess Charlene joining Prince Albert in wishing everyone a “Happy New Year” in French, English, and Monegasque, showcasing their commitment to their principality and its people.
Overall, the Circus Parade provided the perfect backdrop for Prince Albert, Princess Charlene, and their children to enjoy a day of family fun. The event not only celebrated the magic of the circus but also paid tribute to the late Prince Rainier III and the enduring legacy he left behind. With their impeccable style and evident bond as a family, the royals truly captured the hearts of onlookers and demonstrated their commitment to their principality.
