Forward Ollie Watkins had a night to remember when he scored a last-minute strike in the Euro semi-final, leading England to the final on Sunday. Upcoming Final Against Spain
The England squad is set to face Spain in the final on Sunday at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, with kick-off at 8pm BST. England’s last Euro final appearance was in 2020 when they lost to Italy in a penalty shoot-out. Gareth Southgate, the team’s manager, described reaching the final as the team’s “best” achievement. “It’s another landmark,” Gareth said. “The way that we played as well, we played so well throughout the game. It was a complicated game, they kept changing, we had to change how we played defensively especially. But I think we caused them problems all night… The players made so many good decisions on the pitch… The end is so special for the squad.”
