The ongoing legal battle between Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix over their shared $2 million Los Angeles property has taken a new turn. Court documents obtained by Page Six reveal that Sandoval rejected Madix’s request to sell the home after she sued him for refusing to give it up. Sandoval claimed that Madix failed to provide sufficient facts to support her cause of action in the lawsuit filed last month. He also alleged that she did not mitigate her damages and did not perform reasonably and in good faith.
In response to Madix’s lawsuit, Sandoval requested that if the court orders the partition of the property, he should receive accounting and compensatory adjustments for any repairs and improvements he has made to increase the home’s value. This indicates that Sandoval is not prepared to give up the property without a fight, and he is seeking compensation for his contributions to the house.
Madix, on the other hand, is pushing for the sale of the property, citing Sandoval’s months-long affair with their former co-star as the reason for wanting to sell. She filed the lawsuit to force Sandoval to give up the property by ordering a partition by sale, wherein the court would order the home to be sold. Madix does not want a division in kind that would require her to find a buyer for her share of the property and co-own it with Sandoval.
Despite their legal battle, Madix and Sandoval continue to live together in the home. Sandoval recently revealed on an episode of “Vanderpump Rules” that Madix had not paid any bills for about eight months, forcing him to cover all expenses. He claimed that he had to move money around from his various accounts to avoid potential eviction and that he has been paying for everything himself, including the mortgage, gardener, cleaning, and utilities.
The situation has taken an emotional toll on both parties, with Madix feeling betrayed by Sandoval’s actions and Sandoval feeling frustrated by Madix’s refusal to pay her share of the bills. The couple’s nine-year relationship came to an end following the scandal involving Sandoval’s affair, leading to the current legal battle over their shared property. Madix has expressed her unwillingness to move out and allow Sandoval to keep the house after what she feels was a betrayal on his part.
The legal battle between Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix over their shared property is a complicated and emotional situation involving allegations of betrayal, financial disputes, and differing opinions on the future of their home. As the case unfolds in court, it remains to be seen how the judge will rule on the partition of the property and what implications it will have for the former couple’s living arrangements and financial obligations.
