Andy Cohen, the renowned Bravo head honcho, found himself at the center of criticism due to his outfit choice at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball. Acknowledging his misstep, Cohen openly discussed the negative reception during his “Radio Andy” show with co-host John Hill. The sharp-tongued Hill couldn’t resist jokingly comparing Cohen’s attire to “lesbian cosplay.” Admitting his own discontent, Cohen confessed, “Without question, I did [miss the mark]. I look so bad in these red carpet pictures.”
Cohen attended the event in a boldly patterned red-and-green checkered flannel, half-tucked into baggy dark-wash jeans. He completed the laidback ensemble with black-and-white Air Jordan sneakers. Though the outfit might not have photographed well, Cohen defended it, stating that it looked “great” when he was on stage introducing Cher. Reflecting on the moment, Cohen added, “It looked so good. I have this bright green shirt on and there’s a red background… it looks festive.”
Despite his positive perception of the outfit, Hill countered that Cohen only looked good “from the waist up.” Surprisingly, Cohen concurred with the criticism, acknowledging the unflattering red carpet pictures. He admitted, “I woke up Saturday morning and went online, and it was a massacre of me. And I was like, ‘Oh man. I look so stupid. I deserve all this.'”
To elevate the self-deprecating humor, Hill further joked that Cohen’s 4-year-old son, Ben, had dressed himself and gone to the event in his stead. Cohen agreed, adding, “You look like a toddler… a lesbian toddler.” In spite of the backlash, Cohen maintained a relatively positive attitude when he discovered that his pictures had inspired memes on social media. He even shared one image, where a fan humorously compared him to a long-lost member of *NSYNC, on his Instagram Story, with the caption “I deserve this. LOL!”
While Cohen endured the scrutiny, he was not alone at the event. Several other Bravolebrities, including Bethenny Frankel, Melissa and Joe Gorga, and their daughter Bryn Hoppy, joined him at the Z100 Jingle Ball bash at Madison Square Garden. Interestingly, Cohen seemed to stay away from Frankel, who is currently engaging in a public feud with the Bravo network.
