Julianne Hough, host of Dancing With The Stars, is reaching out to her fans in a time of crisis. Her brother Derek’s wife, Hayley, is currently recovering from a cranial hematoma in the hospital. Julianne took to Instagram to share Derek’s original statement and ask for prayers and love to be sent to the couple during this difficult time.
In his Instagram post, Derek explained that Hayley had become disoriented at the end of a recent tour performance in Washington D.C. It was then that she was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma caused by a burst blood vessel. Hayley required an emergency craniectomy but is now in stable condition. Derek expressed his gratitude to the first responders and medical personnel who have been caring for Hayley, while also asking for prayers and positivity.
Friends and colleagues of the Hough siblings immediately rallied behind them, offering their love and support. Alfonso Ribeiro, co-host of DWTS with Julianne, sent his heartfelt message, while Alyson Hannigan, who previously appeared on the show, also offered her love and energy for a speedy recovery. Even Heidi Klum reached out, sending strength and love to both Hayley and Derek.
