There was a time when Jennifer Lopez was an A-list star that sat atop the music and beauty charts.

But those days are long gone, as evidenced by J. Lo’s performance in New York City last night. The singer tried to go all sexy with a skintight, bejeweled bodysuit during her rendition of “Louboutins.”

At Jennifer Lopez’s surprise 40th birthday celebration at the Edison Ballroom in NYC on Saturday, the actress threw a fit over the lack of timeliness of her guests.

“Jennifer’s party was very intimate, and there were a noticeable amount of empty seats when the dinner started. Jennifer was really irritated. She was fuming because people were late, and complained about it really loudly to Marc,” says an attendee. “Jennifer was visibly upset and humiliated.”

Those who found themselves on the diva’s shiz list included Alicia Keys, boyfriend Swiss Beatz and the few who didn’t attend, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

Other guests included the oddly combination of Ricky Martin, Liza Minnelli, Leah Remini, L.A. Reid and Gayle King.

“After Jennifer got over her initial irritation, she let go and looked like she was having the time of her life, drinking champagne and partying until 4 a.m. It was definitely a good way to kick-start her 40s,” continues the source.

Still plugging away at her new film “The Back-Up Plan,” Jennifer Lopez was spotted on the Los Angeles set yesterday (June 12) with two very adorable guests.

The “Waiting for Tonight” songstress enjoyed a visit from her beautiful baby twins Max and Emme during a break in shooting.

J. Lo looked very pleased to be hanging out with her tiny ones as she chatted with a gal pal in between scenes.

“The Back-Up Plan” is about a woman who finally decides to get pregnant via artificial insemination only to meet the man of her dreams on the very same day.

Out for an evening show, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were spotted checking out “The Lion King” musical in New York City’s Times Square on Saturday (April 4).

Making for a family affair, Marc’s two sons from his previous marriage were also in attendance - with the couple’s security adamantly trying to keep them from being photographed.

According to a paparazzo on the scene, “He (Marc) shoved one of the photographers who was taking photos and yelled at him ‘Do not shoot my children!’”

From that point, J. Lo and Marc’s hired helpers held him back while escorting the famous family to an awaiting automobile.

Slowly but surely adjusting to life following her family tragedy, Jennifer Hudson headed out for the Topshop VIP Dinner in New York City on Wednesday night (April 1).

The “American Idol” songstress sparkled in silver as she smiled for photographers, joining a star-studded guest list including Kate Moss and Jennifer Lopez.

As for Hudson’s healing since her family members were slain four months back, Hudson’s childhood friend Walter Williams III told EW, “”It was so, so horrible what happened, and she’s still hurting. But she’s a strong girl and she knows her family is in a superior place. I really think she’s going to be okay.”

Drawing strength form music, Jennifer explains, “This (performing) is what I love to do, and I hate to sit still. I have been active for the past four or five years, and to be working like that and then to just stop and all you hear is the clock ticking … That will drive you crazy.”
