It’s official: Jenna Bush and Henry Hager got married on Saturday!
This made one of George W. Bush’s twin daughters the first daughter of a sitting United States president to exchange vows in 16 years.
The down-home setting was a lakeside ceremony at President Bush’s secluded 1,600-acre Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas.
Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell of Houston, Texas, presided over the ceremony before a four-foot limestone cross and altar - the president’s idea for the event - which will stand as a permanent landmark on the Bushes’ property.

“This is a joyous occasion for our family, as we celebrate the life ahead of Jenna and her husband, Henry,” the president said.
“It’s also a special time for Laura, who this Mother’s Day weekend will watch a young woman we raised together walk down the aisle.”
A source at the ranch said that the president alone, in traditional style, was escorting the bride to the altar. A White House spokeswoman said she did not know if Jenna Bush planned to take the name of Henry Hager.
Dinner and dancing for 200 guests - including family and close friends, including longtime George W. Bush advisers Karl Rove and Karen Hughes - were being held under tents at the ranch.
Jenna Bush, 26, wore an embroidered organza Oscar de la Renta gown, and was attended by twin sister Barbara Bush, the maid of honor, who wore a dress of moonstone blue shimmer with a silver sash.
De la Renta, a close friend of the family, also designed First Lady Laura Bush’s deep turquoise “mother-of-the-bride” gown.
Henry Hager’s brother, John, stood as Best Man.
In keeping with Jenna’s desire for an “organic and natural” feel to the wedding, the men dressed in suits - not black tie.
Dancing was accompanied not by a fussy orchestra, but by Nashville-based wedding singer Tyrone Smith, otherwise known as Super T.
Henry Chase Hager, whose father of the same name is a prominent Virginia Republican, celebrated his 30th birthday Friday amid wedding festivities that included a rehearsal dinner and “Texas-sized” afterparty.
A former aide to Karl Rove, he met Jenna Welch Bush in 2004, when both of them were working on her father’s (successful) reelection campaign.
Finishing up his final year at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, he is expected to get his degree later this month and then begin work for an energy company based in Baltimore, Md.
He and Jenna recently bought a townhouse there.

For someone who spends as much time naked as Lindsay Lohan, you wouldn’t think she’d need to steal clothing from multiple young women.
Yet in the wake of Coat-Gate, another enemy of Firecrotch has come out of the woodwork, accusing the waifish actress of bogarting her stuff.
The same week that a Columbia University student, Masha Markova, insisted Lohan swiped a $11,000 blond mink coat from her in N.Y.C. earlier this year, Lauren Hastings has come out with similar allegations.
The model recently linked to Shia LaBeouf says Lindsay stole thousands of dollars worth of items from her closet, Inside Edition reports.
Lauren Hastings and Masha Markova both say Lindsay Lohan stole from them. At least she doesn’t discriminate - much like her attitude towards sex.
“Basically, I’ve two closets, a lot of the stuff was missing out of one and the next closet was almost totally empty,” Hastings said, claiming her clothes vanished during an unauthorized late-night celebration.
Citing five separate witnesses, Lauren Hastings, 23, alleges that there is evidence, saying that “They all said they saw Lindsay Lohan, basically in my closet, handing a bag full of clothes to her bodyguard.”
When asked about her slutty client’s penchant for the five-finger discount, Lindsay Lohan’s rep responded:
“This is all not true. It’s not what it seems.”
Police searched for Hastings’ missing items, but none were recovered.
According to documents that Inside Edition obtained from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, Hastings did in fact report the theft.
The DA’s office pressed no charges against Lindsay Lohan, however, due to insufficient evidence in the case.
Stated Lauren Hastings:
“I contacted Lindsay and stated, ‘Look, I know you stole my clothes.’ She then said I was absolutely delusional, I was pathetic.”
