A High Court judge officially terminated the union between Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills on Monday.

He’s a free man!!!!

The judge pronounced a decree nisi on the grounds that the couple have been separated for two years.

Macca and Mucca were not in court to hear the declaration.

Their lawyers refused to comment as they left the courtroom.

So, Mucca’s now able to claim the $50 million she was awarded as part of the divorce settlement!

I guess $50 million isn’t enough for Paul McCartney’s ex-wife-Heather Mills. And $70k/year isn’t enough to take care of their daughter Beatrice. The Daily Mail is reporting that Mills has hired a team of forensic accountants to pour through McCartney’s finances to prove the former Beatle is worth more than the $800 million he’s claiming (which would probably result in a higher settlement for Mills). Regarding the couple’s four-year-old daughter, a source told the paper:

“Heather states she can prove the amount of money that’s being given to look after Bea won’t last over the year. She is putting it to the test. Even with Bea traveling in economy Heather states it’s not enough. She is keeping each receipt - including her invoice to her security team - to show that $70,000 is just not sufficient. Heather’s thinking is that Bea should not be seen to have a different lifestyle when she’s with Heather compared to Paul - and she is going about proving that’s not possible. Heather is hoping Paul will discretely make a payment to her annually rather than want to go back to court and rake all this up again.” (Source)

And here I thought Heather was leaning towards a settlement. Paul needs to catch this bitch off balance, countersue her or something, anything to get the leg up. He’s gotta be just hopping mad. I can’t wait for the other shoe to drop. Leg. Wood.

Paul McCartney and Heather Mills’ legal battle is finally over. A judge today ordered McCartney to pay his ex-wife $48.6 million ($33 million lump sum in addition to $15.6 million in assets she already holds). The two were married for four years before divorcing in 2006. People writes:

Speaking on the steps of the High Court in London Monday, Heather Mills declared herself “so, so happy” with her nearly $50 million divorce settlement from Paul McCartney. The 40-year-old ex-wife of the former Beatle said she was “just glad it was over,” referring to the long-running and often acrimonious split. McCartney, 65, upon exiting the court in an indifferent mood, merely said to waiting reporters, “All will be revealed.” (Source)
