Hayden Panettiere freakin’ loves those sea creatures. So much so that she’s auctioning off a VIP whale-watching trip with you, her and five of your closest friends (Interesting number choice…). The auctions are a joint effort with Hayden’s new social networking site Zude and The Whaleman Foundation. Here’s the details straight from the eBay itself:

You and up to 5 guests will join Hayden Panettiere at a Save the Whales Again! fundraising dinner hosted at the famous Hollywood restaurant Beso, owned by Eva Longoria.
The following week you’ll board Condor Cruises’ Condor Express with 5 of your friends for lunch and a whale watching tour off the coast of Santa Barbara, California, through the Channel Islands, to witness some of the most spectacular whale feeding grounds and have the chance to see the ever-elusive Blue Whale.
The total package also includes hobnobbing over drinks and dinner at Beso, photo opportunities with Hayden, $1000 American Express® gift card and a private whale watching tour with Hayden and Jeff Pantukhoff, world-renowned whale researcher, marine life filmmaker and founder of The Whaleman Foundation.

Apparently, you can also bid on Hayden’s clothes that she wore in her Candies’ ad campaign. Hayden Panettiere is all for the whales!

The Heroes star is going to auction off two items on eBay starting on Wednesday to help raise money for her favorite charity, SaveTheWhalesAgain.com.

Hayden is encouraging everyone to bid on her eBay items, which will go up online at 7:00pm tomorrow night and will end of May 30th.

One item is a pair of tickets to a fundraising dinner to be held at Eva Longoria’s restaurant, Beso. It will also include a personal photo op with Hayden.

If they pay a lot can they get to first base????

The second item is a private whale watching tour off the coast of Santa Barbara, again with Hayden alongside.

That’s nice of her.

Hayden recently said, “So go the oceans, so goes life on Earth. Please join us in our fight to save these beautiful creatures, and preserve the quality of life in this world for our kids, and generations to come!”

As for her mission, she says, “My mission is to end whaling worldwide, while raising public awareness to all the other threats dolphins and whales face including toxic pollution, noise pollution, global warming, loss of habitat, entanglement in fishing nets and potential extinction… Raise your voice; it’s time to Save the Whales…AGAIN!”

Offscreen, Hayden Panettiere is pretty much just as fierce.

At first, Hayden seems to have perfected the glamorous celebrity aura, as evidenced by her chic, head-to-toe black ensemble — complete with Ray-Bans perched on her head and sexy thigh-high boots on her teeny, size-5 feet.

But Hayden Panettiere is not concerned with perpetuating Hollywood ideals.

“What’s with all the salads?” she asks, checking out the menu at L.A.’s Four Seasons Hotel, where her Cosmopolitan interview is taking place.

She orders the mac and cheese, minus the ham (she’s recently become a vegetarian), and when it arrives, Hayden Panettiere dives in.

Spend a little time with the talented 18-year-old actress and you’ll soon discover that she also has an appetite for defying expectations.

Thanks to her role as unbreakable high school cheerleader Claire Bennet on NBC’s hit Heroes, this blonde cutie is one of TV’s brightest stars.

But Hayden Panettiere would rather kick butt than be pampered.

“I do as many of my own stunts as they’ll let me do,” states the petite powerhouse, who’s dating co-star Milo Ventimiglia. “Not a whole lot scares me.”

That includes the potential perils of fame.

“I think people look at me as just another one of those girls who’s going to screw up, like ‘She’s going to get into drugs, she’s going to get into celebrations,’” states Hayden.

“I have the occasional glass of champagne when I’m celebrating something, but generally, I don’t drink. I’m a pizza-and-a-movie girl.”
