British actor Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings) has been arrested over allegations he assaulted his fourth wife.

Christian Bale, anyone???

Bean was arrested at his London home on Thursday night after getting into a fight with Georgina Sutcliffe.

The actor, of course, is denying the assault allegations.

Well, after her hubby was taken in by the popo, it seems like wifey had a change of heart.

“The allegations have subsequently been withdrawn and the bail charges dropped,” says a police spokesperson.

The wife claims, “Everything was blown out of proportion. There is not problem between us.”

And Bean just states, “‘I’m fine.”

Sean and his wife made headlines earlier this year when they cancelled their wedding less than 24 hours before they were set to walk down the aisle.

They eventually got married a month later.

But, it seems like wifey might VERY SOON be the ex-Mrs. Sean Bean!
